EZKJ is a tool for running a karaoke night. It manages a rotation, shows a request code to your room, and drives a screen. It is not a music service. Please read section 3 in particular — the music licensing for your night is yours, not ours.
These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("EZKJ", "we", "us"), which operates ezkj.app. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are using EZKJ on behalf of a venue or company, you confirm you may bind it.
You must be at least 18 to hold an EZKJ host account.
EZKJ gives a karaoke host ("KJ") a console for managing a rotation, a request page for singers, and a display for a screen in the room.
EZKJ does not supply, host, store, stream or licence any music or video. When a KJ chooses a video, EZKJ embeds YouTube's player and playback happens between the viewing device and YouTube. Your use of that player is also subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. EZKJ has no control over what YouTube makes available, and a video that plays one night may be unavailable the next.
EZKJ does not grant you any music rights and cannot do so. You are responsible for making sure your night is properly licensed, that any content you display is content you may display, and that you comply with any rules imposed by your venue. If you are unsure whether your venue's licences cover you, ask the venue before your first night.
EZKJ signs you in with a one-time code sent to your email address. There is no password. That means anyone with access to your inbox can sign in as you, so keep your email account secure. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has reached your account.
One person or venue per account. Do not share host credentials.
Singers give a name, a song, and optionally a social handle. That information is yours as the KJ — we hold and display it on your behalf so that you can run your night.
You agree that: you will only display what is appropriate for your room; you will remove anything a singer asks you to remove; and you understand that names and handles you accept into the rotation appear on a screen visible to everyone present. Do not encourage singers to submit sensitive personal information. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle it.
Do not use EZKJ to display or distribute anything unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit in a venue where that is inappropriate, or infringing. Do not attempt to access another host's session, probe or interfere with the service, scrape it, or use it to send unsolicited messages.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section. Where a breach is serious or ongoing we may act without notice.
Your display link contains a private token and is different from the join code you show the room. Treat it as private and do not print it on anything the audience sees. You can issue a new display link at any time from the console, which immediately invalidates the old one.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your tip details, for complying with the terms of whichever payment service you use, and for any tax owed on what you receive. Any dispute about a tip is between you and the person who sent it.
EZKJ has a free plan and a paid plan ("Pro"). Pro is [PRICE: $9 per month or $79 per year] and renews automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your card details.
Free plan limits — currently one venue, and no autoplay, repeat blocking, custom branding or badge removal — may change as the product develops. If we change what a paid plan includes in a way that materially reduces it, we will tell you before it takes effect. If we change the price, the new price applies from your next renewal and we will give you notice first.
Pro renews automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for and the account reverts to the free plan rather than closing. A full Refund and Cancellation Policy will be published alongside paid billing, and will form part of these terms once it is.
EZKJ is provided as-is. We do not promise any particular uptime, and we do not guarantee that a video will play, that a request will arrive, or that a screen will behave, on any given night. Karaoke depends on a working internet connection, a browser, and a third-party video service, none of which we control.
To the maximum extent the law allows, EZKJ is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost income, lost bookings, or reputational harm. Our total liability arising out of or relating to EZKJ is limited to the greater of [LIABILITY CAP: the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$100].
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your use of EZKJ, including claims about music licensing, content you displayed, or singer information you collected.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will give notice by email or in the console before it takes effect, and continuing to use EZKJ after that means you accept it.
You may stop using EZKJ at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we discontinue the service, in which case we will give reasonable notice and refund any prepaid period not yet used.
